Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Cancel a subscription any time from Manage billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the rest of the period you have paid for.
- Bought Credits and spent none of them? Ask within 14 days and we refund the purchase in full.
- Credits are consumed the moment you translate, so Credits already spent cannot be refunded.
- Charged in error, or charged twice? We refund it in full, with no time limit.
- If a mandatory consumer law where you live gives you a right of withdrawal, we honour it.
- Creem is our merchant of record. Refunds go back through Creem to the payment method you used.
1. What this policy covers
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to money you pay us for the Service: subscriptions and one-off Credit packs. It forms part of the Terms of Service, and the words defined there mean the same here.
It does not cover what you pay your own AI provider. Web page, selection and YouTube subtitle translation run on your own API key, directly between your browser and the endpoint you configure — that money never passes through us, and we cannot refund it. Take it up with that provider.
Payments are processed by Creem (Creem.io), which acts as the merchant of record for the Service. Creem is the name that appears on your statement, Creem issues the invoice, and an approved refund is returned by Creem to the payment method you used.
2. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in your account settings. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have already paid for: your subscription stays active, and the Credits included with that period stay spendable, until the period runs out. After that the account reverts to the free monthly allowance.
Cancelling does not by itself refund the period you are in. Section 3 says when it does.
3. Refunds on a subscription
3.1 Your first payment
If you cancel within 14 days of the first subscription payment on your account and have used no more than 10% of the Credits it included, we will refund that payment in full.
3.2 A renewal you did not mean to make
If a renewal charges you and you had meant to cancel, tell us within 7 days of the charge. If you have not spent that period's Credits, we will refund the renewal and end the subscription.
3.3 After that
A subscription period that is under way and has been used is not refundable. Cancel to stop the next charge — you keep what you have paid for until it ends.
4. Refunds on a Credit pack
A Credit pack is a one-off purchase. It never renews.
Unused. If none of the pack's Credits have been spent, ask within 14 days of the purchase and we will refund it in full.
Partly used. Because Credits are consumed the instant a job runs, we cannot un-consume them. We may, at our discretion, refund the unspent remainder pro rata — ask, and we will look at the account.
Fully used. Not refundable.
Expired. Credits expire 365 days after they are granted. Expired Credits are not refunded or reinstated. This is set out in section 5 of the Terms of Service.
5. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or anywhere else whose law gives you a mandatory right to withdraw from a distance contract — typically 14 days — that right applies and we will honour it. Nothing in this policy takes it away or shortens it.
One thing to understand about digital content: when you start translating, you are asking us to begin performing the contract immediately. To the extent the law allows, the right of withdrawal is lost as to what you have already consumed. In practice that means unspent Credits come back to you and spent ones do not.
Where this policy and a non-waivable consumer right conflict, the law wins.
6. Errors, duplicates and charges you did not make
If we charged you in error, charged you twice for the same thing, or charged you after you had already cancelled, we refund it in full and without a time limit. Tell us and we will fix it — you do not need to argue the case.
If you see a charge from Creem you do not recognise at all, contact us straight away so we can check the account and, if it was not you, stop it.
7. How to ask for a refund
Email dylan@magic-design.art from the address on the account. Include:
- the order or invoice number from your Creem receipt;
- the date and the amount;
- what you want refunded — the subscription, a Credit pack, or a specific charge;
- one line on why.
We acknowledge within 2 business days and tell you our decision within 5 business days. If we need something from you to decide, that clock pauses until you reply.
An approved refund is issued through Creem to the payment method you used. Creem usually releases it the same day; your bank or card issuer then takes a further 5–10 business days to post it. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
You may also contact Creem directly using the details on your receipt. Either route reaches the same outcome.
8. Chargebacks
Please write to us before disputing a charge with your bank. Almost every dispute we have seen was a misunderstanding that an email would have settled in a day.
Raising a chargeback without contacting us first may result in immediate suspension of the account and forfeiture of any remaining Credit balance, as set out in section 5 of the Terms of Service. We will always answer you.
